About this list
Percasi, the Indonesian chess federation, works through provincial and city boards, and each of them organises the official championships of its area. Percasi DKI Jakarta holds the provincial championships, including the Governor’s Cup in October 2026 for hundreds of young players. The boards of Kota Bekasi, Kabupaten Bekasi, Depok, Kota Tangerang, Kabupaten Tangerang, Tangerang Selatan, Kabupaten Bogor and South Jakarta run championships and cups, several of them named after a mayor, a regent or a district head.
The Indonesia Chess Museum at the Utut Adianto school in Bekasi opened in 2025 and has hosted an exhibition match of the national Olympiad team. Smaller communities complete the list: Pion 8 in Cilodong, Depok, the MAQNA group with its internal competition, and Musketeers Chess Course, whose name appears on junior and school tournaments in Gading Serpong, Lippo Karawaci and Cinere.
